Bio

I started kayaking at a summer camp in Richmond, Virginia called Passages Adventure Camp. Through years of attending and working for this camp I slowly grew a passion for kayaking. By the time I got my driver’s license I was going kayaking on a class 3 river, The James River, at least once a day. Now I’m living in Asheville, NC, a mecca for whitewater in the Southeastern United States. I’ve kayaked for the past 7 years and it is my life. I love the never ending adventures and the places kayaking takes me. The sport has taught me so much about myself and I never thought I’d get to where I am today. My favorite part of kayaking is how open the playing field is. I’m intrigued by taking the line less traveled. That feeling of accomplishment after running a new line is the best. I’ve been paddling Liquidlogic Kayaks for the past three years and have fallen in love with their designs. The company, the people who work their, and the product they make is outstanding. Whether I’m paddling some gnarly class V river or just relaxing on some class III, you’ll find me having more fun than anyone else on the river. Kayaking is my passion, my life, and is what drives me through everyday of life. SYOTR!
