LL Community

At the core of whitewater paddling is the community that is ever present on and off the river. Here at liquidlogic, we feel lucky to be connected to the history and passion for paddling in our area and we strive to contribute to the community outside of paddlesports as well. Below you will find a list of places, organizations and events we support.

The Green River

The Green was first run in its entirety in 1988. Since that time, the community of paddlers who have journeyed to and made Western North Carolina their home have put whitewater kayaking in the collective consciousness of Asheville, Hendersonville, and Saluda North Carolina. The list of phenomenal paddlers who have honed their skills on this river is a whos who of paddling elite. Those of us who call the Green our home are lucky enough to have 250 + days a year of paddling on challenging whitewater through the protected wilderness of the Green River Gamelands.

The Green Race

Though it is one of the most coveted prizes in whitewater paddling, it has attracted 100s of competitors through the years to whom it represents a more personal challenge. For most, it’s about simply posting their time. The calendar year in this neck of the woods starts and ends with the first Saturday in November when the Green River community comes together to celebrate our love for this river.
