Liquidlogic is very excited to announce that Hunt Jennings has joined the family! Hunt is one of the hardest-charging steep-creek paddlers in the world, whom you may not have heard of … yet. The list of huge drops and first descents he has run in the past few years puts him on an elite list of kayakers pushing that end of the sport. He was even alluded to by the President of the United States, who mentioning the possibility of someone running Minnehaha Falls in Minnesota; a first descent that Hunt had completed days before the President Obama’s speech.
At 20-years-old Hunt’s sole purpose right now is pushing his skills as a paddler and getting on the water as much as possible. Shane Benedict said of the newest team member: “I really like the way Hunt carries himself. He is a quiet, mellow guy who thinks a lot about paddling and just goes out and paddles as much and as hard as he can. I really look forward to spending some time boating with and watching him progress as an athlete.”
Hunt and Pat Keller have been paddling together for several years so it makes sense to get these two guys together and watch as the synergy builds from their drive to kayak and push the limits of what is possible in a kayak. Pat said, “Hunt is an incredibly gifted young paddler who spends more time kayaking than anyone else I know. I think he has a lot of potential and he is just starting to hit his stride.”
It is certainly our feeling that Hunt is a perfect fit into the team here at Liquidlogic. From the looks of his training runs in the Stinger and lines he has been running in the Flying Squirrel things are also going well for him. 🙂
Smooth lines and an eddie we have never seen caught… intentionally.
